Ukrainian President Vodimir Zelensky leaves White House Friday afternoon after talks with the president Donald Trump After a conflict in the Oval Office.
Zelensky did not answer the reporter’s yell, asking if he could resolve a peace agreement between his country’s war with Russia, now dead.
The White House canceled a joint press conference against Trump and Zelensky, which was scheduled to take place Friday afternoon.
Zelensky held a discussion in Washington about a potential agreement to bring the United States into Ukraine’s rare earth minerals, part of a broader effort to end the three-year conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which was from Russia’s invasion of its neighbors.
“We had a very meaningful meeting at the White House today,” Trump said in a statement.
“Under this kind of fire and pressure, there is never a lot of things to understand without conversation,” Trump said.

“It’s amazing how things come about through emotional events, I’ve determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for peace if he’s involved in the United States because he feels that our participation gives him a great advantage in negotiations. I don’t want an advantage, I want peace.”
Trump also said Zelensky “disrespectful to the United States of America in his precious Oval Office.”
“When he’s ready for peace, he can come back.”
