The home of the Washington Commanders just got a new name.
The team’s stadium will be renamed Northwest Stadium New agreement with Northwest Federal Credit Union According to a person familiar with the matter, this will run through the 2030-2031 season. The deal has an average annual value of about $8 million, according to people familiar with the matter.

The new agreement with NWFCU is in addition to an existing stadium sponsorship agreement that generates approximately $2 million per year, according to people familiar with the matter. The deal does not include naming rights.
The expanded partnership includes Northwestern branding throughout the stadium, including a new stadium logo. Northwestern will also serve as the team’s jersey patch partner during offseason and in-season workouts. The partnership will also provide new benefits for Commanders fans who are members of Northwest Federal Credit Union, including discounts on tickets and merchandise.
Last year Northwest became the Commander’s official credit union partner.
The Commanders are looking to build a new stadium in Washington, D.C. or Virginia. People familiar with the matter said that if the team moves into the new stadium before the end of the 2030-2031 season, the Commanders have the right to find a new naming rights partner for the new stadium under the new agreement. The person added that NCU does not have rights to the new stadium and does not have a right of first refusal on those rights.
The Los Angeles Rams currently have the most valuable stadium naming rights deal in the NFL.
