Dan Clifton of Strategas said there was a key reason for the rise in U.S. stocks after the presidential election, but it wasn’t necessarily because of the outcome. “What we’re seeing is the market is pricing in a 50-50 election outcome. (Investors) don’t know who’s going to Win. “I think you’re seeing a rally, not because one side wins or one side loses, but because the market is worried that given the intensity of the race, we won’t know who the winner is for a week or two. “On the contrary, “we know very well … we know (President-elect Donald Trump) is going to win,” he said.
