President-elect Donald Trump Former congressman and Fox Business host Sean Duffy was named on Monday as the next administration’s transportation secretary.
in a statement In announcing Duffey’s win, Trump described the Wisconsin Republican as “an outstanding and well-liked public servant.”
“While in Congress, Sean was a respected voice and communicator in the Republican conference, advocating for fiscal responsibility, economic growth and rural development,” Trump said.
Transportation positions require Senate approval.
Duffy, 53, served in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019.
Duffy first came to attention in 1997 when she appeared on the MTV reality show The Real World: Boston.
