President Donald Trump said Thursday that his proposed tariffs on Mexico and Canada will take effect on March 4 and that China will charge an additional 10% tariff on the same date.
On February 3, the 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada had been suspended for a month. However, the Trump administration has been confused recently about whether delays will take effect again when they expire.

He also announced that China, which has faced a 10% tariff on U.S. import tax, “will also charge an additional 10% tariff on that date.”
“The second mutual tariff date in April will remain in full force and impact,” Trump added.
