Trump said his administration will inspect Fort Knox “to make sure the gold is there” | Real Time Headlines

President Donald Trump said his administration will review U.S. gold reserves in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

“We’re going to the legendary Fort Knox Fort Knox to make sure the gold is there,” President Trump said on Air Force One on Wednesday.

Elon Musk recently drove to Fort Knox to win the momentum in a comment on X. Over the past few decades, theories of conspiracy have emerged from time to time due to the high security of the fortress.

The Treasury Department provides the exact amount of U.S. gold reserves on its website and says there are 147,341,858.382 Troy ounces in Fort Knox.

“I think if this administration imposes an audit, it’s a good thing for everyone,” said John McCluskey, Alamos gold medal CEO. CNBC’s “Squawk Box” Thursday.
