President-elect Donald Trump Senior White House staff appointments announced Friday national economic council.
The Council advises the President on U.S. and global economic policy.
The appointments were made three days before Trump was sworn in as president.
“I am pleased to announce that this outstanding team will serve on the White House National Economic Council (NEC) under the leadership of Kevin Hassett, one of the most respected economists in the world,” Trump said in a statement. one.
“We will restore American prosperity and innovation by putting our nation’s citizens, families and businesses first,” Trump said.
The appointees are:
- Robin Colwell serves as Deputy Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council. Colwell previously headed BGR Group and served in the White House as special assistant to the president for technology, telecommunications and cybersecurity policy during Trump’s first term.
- Nels Nordquist serves as deputy assistant to the president for economic policy and deputy director for international economics at the National Economic Council. He served as director of the House Financial Services Committee’s Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions.
- Paige Willey serves as deputy assistant to the president for economic policy and deputy director of the National Economic Council. She previously served on Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s executive leadership team.
- Ryan Baasch serves as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, focusing on technology, telecommunications and cybersecurity. Bash previously served as Texas Deputy Attorney General, overseeing the office’s civil enforcement division.
- Emory Cox serves as Special Assistant to the President for International Economic Relations. Cox served as a senior economic adviser to Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama.
- Cale Clingenpeel serves as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, focusing on trade, immigration and labor issues. Klingenpierre previously served as chief economist at macroeconomic and geopolitical consulting firm Greenmantle.
- Andrew Lyon serves as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, focusing on tax policy. Lyon served as deputy assistant secretary of state to President George W. Bush and senior economist on President George H.W. Bush’s Council of Economic Advisers.
- Jeff Wrase serves as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, focusing on financial regulation and banking. Lesser served as chief economist for the Congressional Joint Economic Committee, the House and Senate Budget Committees, and the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
- Joel Zinberg serves as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, focusing on health care and deregulation. Zinberg served as a senior economist and general counsel to the White House Council of Economic Advisers in the first Trump administration. As a clinical associate professor of surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, he has been practicing general surgery and surgical oncology for nearly 30 years.
