President Donald Trump The White House said on Wednesday that his reciprocity tariff plan could be announced before meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
Asked about Trump’s upcoming announcement, press secretary Karoline Leavitt told White House reporters: “I do believe this will be before the Prime Minister’s visit tomorrow.”
“I will have the president discuss details about the mutual tariffs, but that’s what he firmly believes in,” she added.
Trump said on Sunday he plans to impose reciprocity tariffs on “every country” that impose import tariffs on “every country”
