The U.S. automaker has been looking for Indian showroom space in India since the second half of last year after shelved its market entry plan in 2022.

The company also released job ads this week, with 13 mid-level positions in India, including some store and customer relationship managers.
Musk has long criticized India for its high import tax rate on electric vehicles at about 100%. Tesla has lobbyed to relax them several times but faces opposition from local automakers who believe that Tesla’s tickets may meet their electric car plans.
