If you’re a digital nomad or remote worker in the tech industry looking for a change of scenery, maybe Spain is the place for you.

This month, the local government in Extremadura, Spain, announced it would provide up to 15,000 euros ($16,703) to help move to the area for at least two years. The plan was announced as part of an ongoing repopulation program called “Live in Ambroz”, referring to the Ambroz Valley in the province of Cáceres. The valley “is one of those areas that continues to lose people and services,” the news release said.
