Nine of the top 10 countries are in Europe. Madrid-Sartoretto added that the United States was not ranked in the report because it does not offer appropriate digital nomad visas.

The report notes that Spain has one of the lowest costs of living in Western Europe, which, coupled with its high-speed internet, makes it an “excellent environment for technology and innovation.”
Madrid Sartoretto says Spain ranks high because it offers digital nomads a high quality of life. The country also has one of the fastest internet connections of all countries analyzed.
The only drawback, Madrid-Sartoreto said, is that English is not yet widely spoken across the country.
