Southwest Airlines and Elliott are close to reaching settlement that will end agency fight, sources say | Real Time Headlines

Activist investor Elliott Management and Southwest Airlines The company is close to a settlement that would give the dissidents sizable representation on the company’s board, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The settlement could be announced as soon as Thursday, the person said. A spokesman for Southwest Airlines did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A spokesman for Elliott declined to comment.
