Qualcomm shares fall 4.5% after Arm threatens to cancel key authorizations | Real Time Headlines

Qualcomm Shares fell nearly 5% in pre-market trading Bloomberg According to reports, British chip designers arm is seeking to revoke a key license for the US company.

According to Bloomberg, citing a document, Arm has given Qualcomm 60 days’ notice to cancel its so-called architecture licensing agreement.

The license allows Qualcomm to design chips based on the Arm architecture.

Arm operates by effectively licensing the blueprints that other companies use to design semiconductors.

CNBC has contacted Qualcomm about the report. Arm declined to comment.
