Supreme Federal Attorney New York and senior Ministry of Justice Officials resigned Thursday after refusing the Justice Department to dismiss criminal case against the mayor Eric Adams.

NBC reported that after Sasso refused, the matter was reassigned to the acting head of the Public Integrity Department of the Ministry of Justice, who also refused to dismiss the case and then resigned.
As of Thursday afternoon, the criminal case against Adams has not been dismissed.
Adams was indicted by a grand jury in the Manhattan District Court in September on alleged bribery, fraud and a decade-long campaign donation program.
On Monday, Emil Bove, the top Justice Department official, was a former criminal defense attorney for Trump, ordered Sassoon to dismiss the case against Adams.
“I submitted my resignation to the Attorney General a moment ago,” said an official quoted by NBC.
“As I told her, it is my greatest honor to represent the United States and serve as a prosecutor in the southern New York area. It is an honor to be your colleague and I will be proud to watch you continue to serve the United States.”
