Preventive health entrepreneurship Beautiful In addition to the flagship full-body MRI scan, it will announce on Thursday that it will offer three new health assessments.

The company is launching detailed blood tests, nerve scans and body composition analysis that has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in recent weeks. Prenuvo said it wants to provide customers with accurate health conditions and that its patients have been asking for more.

“They have understood and realized that the health system is about keeping healthy because it is about keeping them healthy,” Prenuvo CEO Andrew Lacy told CNBC in an interview. “There are increasing consumer spending seek alternative solutions so they can stay healthy.”

Prenuvo has been popular for its $2,500 full-body MRI scan, which has been praised by celebrities like Kim Kardashian. Once the FDA-approved MRI machine is available, the company can check for hundreds of diseases such as cancers, multiple sclerosis and aneurysms.

Lacey said the whole body scan and new blood tests, nerve scans and body composition reports will be packaged together and offered to customers for $3,999.

Prenuvo has more than 110,000 members and the company earned $100 million in revenue last year. Lacey said it owns and owns 17 clinics in North America and plans to expand it to 15 locations in the coming months, including locations in Europe and Australia.

Lacey said Prenuvo grew rapidly but profitable.

Prenuvo faces criticism for its high price, with some medical experts warning that scans are not meant to replace targeted screening and could lead patients to seek unnecessary care.

Investors are optimistic no matter what.

The company announced Thursday that it announced a $120 million financing round, co-led by Left Lane Capital, Rane Capital, Forerunner Ventures and its existing investor Felicis. Prenuvo will use its fresh financing to support its product expansion, drive new regions and explore the application of artificial intelligence.

Ezra, a competitive full-body MRI startup, announces $21 million Funding last February.

Lacey said Prenuvo has the world’s largest repository of full-body MRI imaging, which means the company has many opportunities to build models to make its exams more accurate and its 80 board-certified radiologists are more effective.

The company’s new body composition analysis, called the Prenuvo body composition report, uses AI to evaluate muscle volume and symmetry and the distribution of abdominal fat. Lassi said muscle size and distribution are the main indicators of fluidity, and fat distribution affects the risk of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.

“This is really important information for patients who want to actively manage their health,” Lacey said.

Patients will not need any other imaging of the Prenuvo body composition report.

Prenuvo’s new brain health scan is also based on imaging, which gives patients a glimpse of their cognitive health and function, the company said. The scan uses a nervous system sequence developed internally by Prenuvo to evaluate blood flow, the brain’s microvascular structure, and determine repetitive trauma such as movement and activities.

Lacey said it requires an additional 10 minutes of imaging and the sequence has been approved by the FDA.

Blood evaluation is a new area for the company, which will examine patients’ biomarkers to provide insights on hormones, cardiovascular, metabolic and immune health. Lacey said the test could help detect leukemia, for example, a type of blood cancer that cannot be identified by imaging.

“The blood and imaging together are very powerful,” Lacey said. “It’s not a case where one adds one equals two, it’s a case where one adds one equals five.”

Initially, a person who has trained blood to suck blood will appear at the patient’s home to collect blood samples, Prenuvo said. The company also plans to eventually draw blood in its facilities, but Lacy wants to provide a quality experience as calm and comfortable as possible.

Starting Thursday, patients can conduct new assessments at Prenuvo’s Silicon Valley, Los Angeles and New York locations. The company said testing will be available in other locations this spring.

“No one cares more about your health than you,” Lacey said. “It empowers when you diagnose things early. There are things you can do about it.”
