New Lincoln Navigator comes with spa mode, 48-inch gaming monitor | Real Time Headlines

Ford Motor Company is updating its Lincoln Navigator to include a 48-inch front display that can serve as a “sanctuary” for spa enthusiasts and gamers.

The new feature comes as the automaker redesigns the car’s exterior and interior for the 2025 model year and as Ford’s luxury brand attempts to differentiate the Navigator amid declining sales of large SUVs.

“The new Navigator is more than just a car; it can be a home away from home and a new way to engage customers on and off the road,” Lincoln President Dianne Craig said in a press release. A revitalizing third space outside.

“Sanctuary” mode is part of the “Lincoln Revival” feature designed to create a calm environment for the driver. Once activated when parking, the driver’s seat automatically slides backwards, tilts, is slightly heated and performs massage actions.

The car comes pre-installed with the Waterfall Meditation experience in partnership with Meditation and sleep app company Calm;Purchase also includes two additional themes – “Northern Lights” and “Elements”.

“Navigator is the flagship of the Lincoln brand and represents our ultimate expression of shelter,” said Craig.

Big screen, landscape and rejuvenation modes were originally introduced in 2024 Lincoln Nautilus, But the Navigator’s larger interior space allows for further enhancements.

If the driver prefers to relax with media rather than enjoy a spa experience, the front display can be detached to play videos and gaming apps while the vehicle is parked. Current games include Asphalt 2, Angry Birds and Beach Buggy Racing 2.

The SUV, which can seat up to eight passengers, will continue to be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine with 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It also comes standard blue cruise ship Advanced driver assistance systems enable hands-free driving on the highway.

Ford said the 2025 Navigator will start under $100,000, but more detailed pricing will be announced closer to the vehicle’s launch in spring 2025.

According to Lincoln, the Navigator’s current average transaction price is more than $101,300.

Lincoln sales were up 23.4% year over year through July, but Navigator sales were down about 21% during that period.
