Asia-Pacific markets opened mixed on Monday as investors braced for a busy week that includes the U.S. presidential election and the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy meeting.
Investors will also pay close attention to China’s two sessions, which are scheduled to open on Monday. Chinese authorities are expected to announce more details of fiscal support at the end of Friday’s meeting.
China’s October trade data will be released on Thursday Export and import growth sluggish September.
Japanese Nikkei 225 Index The Chicago futures contract appeared to open stronger, with the Chicago futures contract at 38,410 points and the Osaka futures contract at 38,600 points, while the index’s last closing price was 38,053.67 points.
Hong Kong Futures Hang Seng Index to 20,490 points, lower than Friday’s closing price of 20,506.43 points.
Australian S&P/ASX 200 Index It opened up 0.18% on the day.
