Millions of people in Florida were without power Thursday as Hurricane Milton caused tornadoes, flooding, strong winds and killed several people.
Milton Login on Wednesday In the evening, a Category 3 storm developed near Siesta Key on the west coast of Florida, south of Tampa Bay. The storm was blowing east-northeast toward Cape Canaveral with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph and was moving off the Florida coast into the Atlantic Ocean, according to the National Hurricane Center.
According to PowerOutage.us, more than 3 million people in Florida are without power.

Milton spawned multiple tornadoes before making landfall on Wednesday, with the National Weather Service confirming five of the seven tornadoes reported. Governor Ron DeSantis said earlier that 19 tornadoes were confirmed to have touched down.
At least two people are confirmed dead after a tornado struck Spanish Lakes Country Club in Fort Pierce around 4:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff.
