Yuan A series of apps including Facebook and Instagram were down on Wednesday, leaving users unable to access the services.
The widespread service outage began around 9:57 a.m. PST, affecting the social media company’s core applications as well as Threads, WhatsApp and Messenger, according to user-submitted reports collected by network monitoring site DownDetector.
According to data from DownDetector, more than 100,000 users experienced problems using Facebook services at 10:11 a.m. PST, which was the peak of the outage.
Meta acknowledged the outage via postal On social media site
“We are working hard to get things back to normal as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience,” X posted.
Separate Instagram specific X postal also acknowledged the outage, saying the company recognized “there is a technical issue that is impacting some people’s ability to access Instagram.”
Meta’s various applications have gone through Power outage for about two hours March 2024 is the same day as Super Tuesday, the US presidential primary election.
