Yuan Thursday revealed the latest version of its experimental intelligence Glasses designed to help study artificial intelligence, robots and machine perception.
Meta said in a blog post that the ARIA Gen 2 glasses are designed to be used as a tool for researchers to help them research robotic systems, advanced sensors and other technologies. For example, the startup idea is using new glasses to help it create a service visually and suffer hearing loss.
The new glasses are an improvement to the Aria Gen 1 glasses, which are meta Announce In 2020. ARIAGen 2 represents the latest step in Meta, which strives to build smart glasses as the next major computing platform after smartphones. The blog says that among the improvements to its predecessor by the ARIA Gen 2 glasses are upgraded sensors that include a sensor that measures heart rate, the ability to perform more complex computing on the device itself using Meta’s custom computer chips and “all-day availability.”
“Providing it to academic and commercial research labs through Project ARIA will further enhance open research and public understanding of a set of key technologies, which we believe will help shape the future of computers and AI,” the company wrote.
Meta did not disclose when the device will provide researchers with wider availability, but said it could choose to sign up for updates.
