Marjorie Taylor Greene joins Musk, Ramaswamy on DOGE subcommittee | Real Time Headlines

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., has been appointed to lead a new House subcommittee that will work with Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.

Greene and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., have met with Ramaswamy and his team and are “already working together,” a person familiar with the matter told CNBC. The DOGE group will be established early next year.

Greene’s panel will be called the Subcommittee on Improving Government Efficiency, allowing it to share the DOGE acronym with entities outside the government commissioned by the president-elect. Donald Trump.

First the Congressional version report Earlier Thursday, Fox News reported that the company had similar goals to those led by two billionaires. The purpose is to investigate government waste and seek ways to reorganize federal agencies and reduce red tape, sources said.

Ramaswamy’s spokesman said: “A key step in making government more effective is bringing issues to the public’s attention.”

“We are grateful to the House Oversight Committee for establishing the DOGE Subcommittee to focus on this effort. We look forward to working together.”

“We’re going to be working very closely with Elon Musk and Ramaswamy,” Cuomo said in an interview with Fox Business Network on Thursday morning.

Cuomo decried “too many fat cats in government” and vowed his committee would “take the chopping block.”

“I am pleased to serve as chair of this new subcommittee designed to work hand-in-hand with President Trump, Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy and the entire DOGE team,” Green said in a statement to CNBC .

She said her group would lead to the firing of government “bureaucrats” and vowed to “provide transparency and truth to the American people through hearings.”

“No topic is left out,” she said.
