Asia-Pacific markets opened higher on Tuesday following gains on Wall Street Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 IndexNasdaq Index reached new record highs.
Investors will assess trade data from South Korea, which posted a preliminary trade surplus of $6.6 billion in September due to strong exports.
Australian S&P/ASX 200 Index It opened 0.65% higher in early trading.
Japanese Nikkei 225 Index Markets that resumed trading after the holiday on Monday opened higher, with the Chicago futures contract at 40,215 points and the Osaka futures contract at 40,150 points, compared with the previous closing price of 39,605.80 points.
Hong Kong Hang Seng Index The futures index was at 21,115 points, higher than the Hang Seng Index’s last closing point of 21,092.87 points.
On Wall Street, the S&P rose 0.77% to 5,859.85 points, while the 30-stock Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 201.36 points to 43,065.22 points, closing above the 43,000 mark for the first time.
