
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon The U.S. government is inefficient and needs work as the Trump administration is terminated. Thousands of Federal employees and efforts to demolish institutions including the Consumer Financial Protection Agency.
CNBC’s Leslie Picker asked Dimon if he supported the efforts of Elon Musk’s government’s efficiency ministry. He declined to give what he called a “binary” response, but made comments that supported the overall effort.
“The government is inefficient, not very capable, and requires a lot of work,” Dimon told Pique. “It’s not only waste and fraud, but the result.”
Dimon added that the Trump administration’s efforts to control and review federal agencies “need to be done.”
“Why do we spend money on these things? Are we getting what we deserve? What should we change?” Dimon said. “It’s not only about the deficit, it’s about the right policies and procedures and the government we deserve.”
If Doge’s efforts to cut costs or engage in illegal activities are excessive, then “the court will stop it.”
“I hope this is successful,” he said.
In extensive interviews, Dimon also devoted his company to putting most workers in office five days a week and his views on Ukrainian conflict, tariffs and American consumers.
