JPMorgan Chase Friday categorically denied that its CEO Jamie Dimonapproved Donald Trump President, in a few minutes republican candidate claim on social media Damon Now supporting him.
“Jamie Dimon has not endorsed anyone. He has not endorsed any candidate,” Dimon spokesman Joe Evangelisti told CNBC by phone.
Trump on truth society posted a screenshot falsely claiming: “New: JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has endorsed Trump for president.”
The claim appeared to originate from a verified account on X earlier on Friday. Before the bank issued its denial, the news was quickly amplified on social media by other pro-Trump accounts, and then by the former president himself.
When NBC News asked Trump late Friday about the post, he said he was not aware of it and that he did not post it.
“Someone posted it” Trump saidadding: “I don’t know.”
The post was published at 1:56 pm ET and was still visible on Trump’s official account more than two hours later.
The Trump campaign did not respond to CNBC’s request for comment.

In September, Dimon said he would not support Trump or the Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
