Hours after Huawei said on Monday it plans to hold a product launch event this month appleWith its annual iPhone launch, the Chinese tech giant hopes to steal the thunder from its U.S. rivals.
Huawei posted on China’s X-like service Weibo on Monday that the event will be held on September 10 at 2:30 pm Beijing time.
The time is the evening of September 9th, and Apple’s event will be held on the West Coast of the United States.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series at its event on the morning of September 9 Its tagline is “It’s Glowtime”.
It’s unclear what products Huawei plans to launch at its event. Yu Chengdong, head of Huawei’s consumer and automotive technology group, said in a Weibo post posted by Google on Monday that the company’s “leading, innovative, and disruptive products are here.”
“This is an epoch-making product that others thought of but couldn’t do,” Yu said.
The executive added that after five years of investment, Huawei has “turned science fiction into reality.”
