2025 GMC Terrain Elevation

General Motors

Detroit- General Motors on Monday unveiled a redesigned version of its entry-level GMC Terrain crossover, including a new standard “Elevation” model.

This compact crossover has a more rugged exterior design. It also has a new interior, equipped with 26-inch screens, including a 15-inch central touch screen and an 11-inch driver information instrument panel.

The screens are part of the vehicle’s new standard safety and convenience features, including adaptive cruise control, heated front seats and enhanced automatic emergency braking. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which replicate the phone apps for things like navigation and music, are also standard.

Along with the addition of standard features, GM has also simplified the Terrain model lineup, consolidating its “SLE” and “SLT” entry-level trims into the Elevation. The brand also uses the Elevation trim on other vehicles.

GM declined to reveal pricing for the redesigned Terrain, which is expected to begin arriving in GMC showrooms later this year. Pricing currently starts at about $30,000 to $40,000.

The Elevation decoration will start first, followed by Off-road style AT4 and luxury Denali models.

The Terrain is typically one of GMC’s best-selling non-truck nameplates, and the company’s vehicles range from compact crossovers to large trucks and SUVs, including GMC Hummer Electric Vehicle.

Sales of Terrain, produced in Mexico, rose 31% annually in the first half of this year after falling 17% in 2023.
