Former Trump aide Steve Bannon pleads guilty in New York | Real Time Headlines

Steve Bannonthe previous top White House Encourage the President Donald Trumppleaded guilty Tuesday in New York, suspected of cheating Trump supporters who contributed more than $15 million to the alleged effort wall Bordering with Mexico in the United States.

Bannon, 71, was sentenced to conditional release for three years after pleading guilty, meaning he would not serve in prison.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice April Newbauer also banned Bannon from serving as an official or director of a New York charity or any charity and engaged in fundraising activities, as well as nonprofits in the state.

Bannon pleaded guilty to the first-degree plan for fraud. He was initially charged with six counts of crimes in 2022.

The guilty plea comes three weeks before the case is scheduled to begin trial.

Bannon briefly served as a senior White House adviser during Trump’s first term and was fired in April 2017.
