FBI agents boarded a vessel managed by Synergy Marine Group, the company whose other cargo ship caused the collapse of the Baltimore Bridge | Real Time Headlines

Federal agents boarded a vessel managed by the same company as a cargo ship, causing Deadly Baltimore Bridge Collapsethe FBI has confirmed.

In a statement on Saturday, spokespeople for the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maryland confirmed that authorities were on board the Maersk Saltoro. The vessel is managed by Synergy Marine Group.

“The FBI, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Criminal Investigation Division, and Coast Guard Investigative Division are conducting court-authorized law enforcement activities aboard the Maersk Saltoro,” a statement from the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Authorities did not provide further details.

Grace Ocean spokesman Darrell Wilson confirmed that the FBI and Coast Guard boarded the Maersk Saltoro in the Port of Baltimore on Saturday morning.

Wilson previously said the owners and managers “look forward to the court setting the record straight” about the Justice Department lawsuit.
