Costco Earnings lapses were reported on Thursday, but revenue expectations exceeded expectations in the second quarter.
According to LSEG’s survey of analysts, this is how wholesale companies compare to Wall Street’s expectations for the quarter ended February 16.

Revenue rose 9% in the second quarter to $63.72 billion, from $58.44 billion in the same quarter in fiscal 2024. Net sales rose 9.1% to $62.53 billion in the quarter, compared with $57.33 billion in the same period last year.
The total membership fee for the quarter was $1.19 billion, up from $1.1 billion in the second quarter of 2024, with the company reporting 78.4 million paid membership and 140.6 million cardholders. Globally, Costco’s member renewal rate is 90.5%, an increase of 0.1% from the previous quarter.
Retailers grow up Its annual membership fee is the first time since 2017.
Costco reported net income of $1.79 billion, or $4.02 per share in the second quarter, compared with net income of $1.74 billion, or $3.92 per share in the second quarter of fiscal 2024.
Costco defines quarterly comparable sales as warehouse and e-commerce website sales for more than one year, up 6.8% year-on-year, while street box office estimates were 6.4%, and comparable sales for e-commerce in the U.S. increased 8.3% and 20.9% year-on-year.
