“If the strike continues beyond November, we will have to implement layoffs and additional furloughs,” spokesman Joe Buccino told CNBC on Friday.
Buccino said about 700 workers are assigned to the Boeing 777 and 767 programs, for which Spirit has built “significant inventory.” He added that workers on the 737 Max would not be affected.
