Denguet said that while these sectors remained critical, “the shift towards hospitality, tourism and education in 2025 reflects broader economic and social trends”. “This includes recovery from the pandemic and the increasing importance of soft skills and continuous learning.”
It is worth noting that “English teacher” is rated as the fastest growing role in Australia. Denguet said this was driven by a number of factors, such as the increasing demand for English language skills as the country’s international student population grows.
A recovery in these industries could provide opportunities for job seekers seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce, she added.
LinkedIn’s 2025 Job Growth report identifies Australia’s fastest-growing jobs over the past three years, based on analysis of millions of jobs started by LinkedIn members between January 2022 and July 2024.
