Asia-Pacific stocks were mostly lower on Monday as markets started ING Called a ‘quiet’ week for regional economic data.
Key data from Asia this week will include China’s prime lending rate, due to be released on Wednesday. ING said it does not expect China’s LPR to change, with the current one-year LPR at 3.1% and the five-year LPR at 3.6%.
Japan will release trade data on Tuesday and headline inflation data for October on Friday, while Australia’s central bank will release minutes from its meeting earlier this month on Tuesday.
Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 Index It was down 1.16% in early trade, while the Topix was down 0.65%.
Korean Cospi The Kosdaq Small Cap Index rose 1.06%, while the Kosdaq Index of Small Caps fell 0.62%.
Australian S&P/ASX 200 Index It opened down 0.33% that day.
Hong Kong Futures Hang Seng Index The Hang Seng Index closed at 19,458 points, and the opening price was stronger than the Hang Seng Index’s closing point of 19,426.34 points.
