American Airlines chooses Citi as sole credit card partner, ditching Barclays | Real Time Headlines

American Airlines Signed a long-awaited credit card deal with Citigroup, ditching another partner, Barclays.

The airline said on Wednesday it expected payments received from its co-branded credit cards and other partners to increase by 10% annually. American Airlines made $5.6 billion from those transactions in the 12 months ended Sept. 30.

CNBC report In September, the airline was in talks to select Citibank as its exclusive credit card partner.
