After departure, Delta flew to Boston due to a “smoky smell” found in the cabin | Real Time Headlines

one delta The airline said flights that had just taken off from Boston Logan International Airport had to return quickly after finding a “smoke odor” in the cabin shortly after departure.

The plane landed safely on Sunday morning and 92 people on board were not injured, Delta said.

According to the airline, Delta Flight 1398 is on the way to New Orleans International Airport on the Airbus A220.

The aircraft had to turn after the crew reported smoke from the flight deck and cabin, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The plane returned to Boston at 9:35 a.m. Sunday.

The airline said the emergency was declared to gain priority from air traffic control.

Delta said it is “working to get passengers to travel as quickly as possible.”

The FAA is investigating the matter.
