The Los Angeles Dodgers won their second World Series in five seasons, overcoming a five-run deficit with the help of three defensive errors by the Yankees and scoring in the eighth inning on Gavin Lux and Mookie Betts’ sacrifice fly beat New York 7-6.
Aaron Judge and Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning, and Alex Verdugo’s RBI single Chasing Jack Flaherty in Game 2 Giancarlo Stanton homered in the third inning against Ryan Brasier to give the Yankees a 5-0 lead.
