independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. Will receive Secret Service protection at the direction of the President Joe Biden because attempted assassination former president’s Donald TrumpHomeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on Monday.
“In light of the events of this weekend, the president directed me to work with the Secret Service to provide protection for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,” Mayorakas said during the daily White House briefing.
“Thank you, President Biden, for giving me Secret Service protection,” Kennedy said on the X show.
trump cardKennedy, who was shot by a 20-year-old gunman at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, has urged the U.S. government to provide Secret Service protection to Kennedy. The Secret Service has repeatedly refused to release details about Kennedy.
“Given the history of the Kennedy family, this is clearly the right thing to do!” Trump posted on the Truth Social app.

Kennedy’s father, New York Senator Robert F. Kennedy, was assassinated in Los Angeles in June 1968, when he won the Democratic presidential primaries in California and South Dakota.
Kennedy’s uncle, President John Kennedy, was assassinated in Dallas in November 1963.
Kennedy security adviser Gavin de Becker told Politico Over the weekend, his campaign filed a request for Secret Service protection with the Department of Homeland Security, which is pending.
“I am extremely grateful to Gavin deBecker & Associates for keeping me safe during the final 15 months of my presidential campaign,” Kennedy said on X on Monday.
