A long-drawn-out race has likely eliminated the three top contenders: Ohio Sen. Vance, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Florida Gov. Doug Burgum. State Senator Marco Rubio.

Both Vance and Rubio have been outspoken critics of Trump. In 2016, Vance called Trump a “total liar,” while Rubio slammed Trump as a “liar” when he ran against Trump in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.

Burgum is running against Trump in the current presidential primary cycle, although he has largely avoided direct criticism of the former president at the time.

All three have become active cheerleaders for Trump as the vice presidential race heats up.

For example, both Vance and Burgum appeared outside Trump’s criminal hush-money trial in New York City to denounce the prosecution of the presumptive Republican nominee.

After a jury in that trial convicted Trump of 34 counts of falsifying business records, Rubio likened the entire incident to Show experiment This was conducted in Cuba under the communist regime of Fidel Castro.
