“More and more people are trying to take advantage of these programs to obtain second citizenship and take advantage of the mobility offered,” Madrid-Sartoreto said.
Nine of the top 10 countries are in Europe. Madrid-Sartoretto added that the United States was not ranked in the report because it does not offer appropriate digital nomad visas.

According to the Global Nomad Digital Report, Spain is the best country for digital nomads. It scored highest for visa benefits and second for technological innovation.
The report notes that Spain has one of the lowest costs of living in Western Europe, which, coupled with its high-speed internet, makes it an “excellent environment for technology and innovation.”
