Israeli troops free hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, IDF says | Real Time Headlines

Bedouin taken hostage Gaza Israeli officials announced that the more than 10-month-old victims were rescued by Israeli forces on Tuesday.

The IDF announced in a joint press release with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) that 52-year-old Qaid Farhan Alkadi was killed by the 401st Brigade during a “complex operation” in southern Gaza. Rescued by troops of Shayetet 13.

Details of Arkadi’s rescue were unclear. The joint statement said no further details would be released “out of considerations for hostage safety, force safety and national security.”

Arkadi’s health is said to be stable and he is being transferred to the hospital for medical examination. His family was also given an update, the IDF and the Shin Bet said.

The attack on October 7 left about 1,200 people dead, and about 250 people were taken hostage into Gaza, with more than 100 hostages believed to still be held by Hamas.
