Barcelona – apple Co-founder Steve Wozniak criticized Elon Musk’s “sledgehammer” approach to cutting administrative costs and implementing large-scale shootings in federal government agencies.
The Department of Government Efficiency (“Gate” for short) is an initiative by President Donald Trump to optimize the federal government and cut its administrative spending.
“I definitely think we should look for inefficient governments, but there is almost a huge sector, a few points to analyze a little bit,” Wozniak told CNBC on the tech conference on Tuesday.
But he added: “Just a large-scale shooting… is not good for the business to do this.” This refers to the in-depth layoffs of Duoqi in the work of several government agencies.
He noted that while it may be a good thing to address the administrative burden of the government and the traditional Chinese tape festival, it is a process that should be “surgically more like surgery” by means of a scalpel rather than a sledgehammer.”
“Bully”
Wozniak also accused Trump and Musk of the treatment of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the mass shooting of the Ministry of Government Efficiency in the federal government agency.
“Elon Musk, I don’t know what’s in his mind,” Wozniak added. “Sometimes, you’re so rich in these big companies, and you’re at the top – it surfaces, and you’re the most incredible person in the world and the smartest, you’re going to decide what others will do.”
CNBC has contacted the White House and has contacted Tesla.
Wozniak said he owns Ukrainian legacy, saying Trump and Musk abused Ukraine and accused them both of them bullies.
“Bullying is the best way to think,” he told CNBC. “If you’re in school, bullies will force them to walk onto the little guy.”
“I’ve always favored this little guy over the big guy, and I’ve always favored good consumers over producers,” he pointed out, adding in an obvious reference to Musk’s electric car company Tesla.
Since Trump took office, Ukraine’s relations have changed. U.S. officials have established relations with their Russian counterparts – but have ruled out preliminary talks in Ukraine, laying the foundation for peace. Tensions between Washington and Kiev have recently escalated after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described Trump as “living in a false bubble in Russia.”
Trump then fought back, calling Ukrainian leaders “a dictator without elections.” Zelenskyy won the 2019 presidential vote, and Ukraine has been unable to hold a national poll since its invasion.
“On the wrong side of Elon”
Wozniak said he also suspected he had been banned from using X, a social media platform formerly known as Twitter, after several public calls out about the quality of Tesla’s vehicles in TV interviews. Musk is the owner of X.
The Apple co-founder said he did not violate any social media platform rules and did not succeed in taking every step to unlock his account, saying the past two to three months have been blocked.
He added: “Maybe it’s because of the wrong side of me in Elon.”
X will not comment immediately when CNBC contacts CNBC.
Wozniak owns several Teslas, but he says he doesn’t like how Musk’s electric cars have evolved over time.
“Every step is changing things on the car, things are getting worse and worse, and it’s painful for the user interface now,” he said. “From Apple, the user interface, the way you handle technology, is the most important thing in the world for me. Tesla is the worst in the world.”
Wozniak added that he did not like Tesla’s full autonomous driving or autonomous driving help due to concerns about the safety of the system.
Tesla did not immediately return CNBC’s comments on Wozniak’s criticism of the company.
