China’s Oppo attacks Google for Privacy AI push to get pages from Apple | Real Time Headlines

Barcelona – Chinese smartphone company Oppo is picking pages Apple’s The script uses a private cloud computing system to separate users’ sensitive conversations from their own artificial intelligence products.

In addition to its new AI privacy system, Oppo has announced other new AI features, including call translation and voice transcription. It also embeds Google’s Gemini into notes, calendars, and clock apps.

Oppo said it is working to bring Google’s next-generation Gemini 2.0 AI model to the phone soon. Gemini 2.0 is a so-called proxy AI system, which refers to an AI form that can independently perform various operations on behalf of users.

The company said it aims to bring AI-generation capabilities to 100 million users by the end of 2025 and double its 2024 50 million target.
