Holland America Line is offering travelers the opportunity to sail along the path of the 2026 total solar eclipse.
cruise line Three journeys are offered that take the ship on the “Path of Totality,” including a round trip from Boston. The journey will begin on July 18, 2026 with the 35-day Vikings: Solar Eclipse.
The 28-day Scandinavian eclipse tour begins on July 25, departing from Dover or Rotterdam, England, with stops in Greenland and Scotland. The 13-day Mediterranean Solar Eclipse Tour includes an overnight stop in Barcelona and departs Portugal on August 9.
Viking voyages included Greenland, Holland, Ireland and Iceland. Travelers will view solar eclipse on Iceland’s west coast before returning to U.S.
Visitors on the Scandinavian eclipse tour will stop in Norway, Iceland and more. They will watch the eclipse from the northwest coast of Iceland.
The Mediterranean solar eclipse will travel to France, Italy, Montenegro, Spain and other places. Guests will be able to view the solar eclipse from the coast of Spain.
In addition to what might be considered a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the cruise will host events such as lectures and scientific experts. Eclipse glasses will be provided to guests.
The total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026 is expected to pass over the Arctic Ocean, Greenland, Iceland, the Atlantic Ocean, Portugal and northern Spain. national solar observatory.
