US President Donald Trump Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba will hold a joint press conference at the White House on Friday.
The press in the east room was after a bilateral meeting and lunch between the leaders of the United States and Japan.
The meeting came when U.S. Steel pushed Trump to reverse the former president Joe BidenDecided to prevent Japan and Japan Steel from acquiring American companies.
CBS News reported earlier Friday that Trump, who had opposed the merger, was considering allowing a $14 billion acquisition.
