French prosecutors investigated Elon Musk’s X, which alleges distorted its algorithms to manipulate discourse on social media platforms.
The Paris Attorney’s Office said it received a report from French MPs on January 12, criticizing X for “biased algorithms” that “may distort the operation of automated data processing systems.”
The prosecutor’s office told CNBC in an email comment Friday that the office’s magistrate judge and professional assistants are tasked with analyzing reports and conducting preliminary technical inspections on the platform.
