“This is completely out of touch and an insult to the American people and their lived experience!” Mangione shouted as he was shackled from a police car to the Blair County Courthouse in Hollidaysburg.
Mangione screamed at television cameras as he struggled to break free from the police’s grasp and was forced into the building by two officers. His chest bounced off the building’s walls before he was pushed forward.
The 26-year-old University of Pennsylvania graduate is accused in New York state court of shooting Thompson outside the Hilton Hotel in downtown Manhattan on Wednesday as the CEO was heading to an investor meeting for his parent company. UnitedHealth Group.
Mangione was arrested Monday morning at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pa., where local police confirmed he was a suspect wanted by the New York Police Department.
