The famous British car manufacturer Jaguar announced its new car design direction on Monday night and launched an all-electric concept car called “Type 00”.
Pronounced “Type Zero Zero,” the vehicle sports a simple but somewhat flashy design. It’s boxy, with stylish lights and big wheels, making for a significant visual change from the brand’s current crop of sport sedans and SUVs.
Automakers often use concept cars to gauge customer interest in a design or to show the future direction of a vehicle or brand. These vehicles are not intended for sale to consumers.
Jaguar is expected to produce a number of new electric vehicles in the coming years, including a concept-like four-door GT expected to be released next year.

Jaguar expects its new production electric car to have a range of 430 miles on a single charge and 200 miles in 15 minutes of quick charging.
A few weeks ago, Jaguar released an artistically gorgeous video meant to show off the company’s products for the first time “Copy Anything” rebrand.
this video Androgynous models of different races and body types wear bright outfits and pose against brightly colored landscapes. The 30-second clip accompanies the embattled car company’s new logo and font, which is Tata MotorsPart of the Jaguar Land Rover Group.
The rebrand and video went viral, attracted widespread criticism on social media last month. Critics have criticized the company’s font choices and decision to remove the Jaguar animal logo, which has appeared on cars since the 1950s, to calling the company “woke” and saying it is abandoning its heritage.
Critics also pointed out that there were no cars in the commercials. Despite the backlash, the company defended its efforts, saying “the relaunch of the Jaguar brand is a bold and imaginative reinvention that, as expected, has generated attention and debate.”
Jaguar halted all new car sales in the UK in early November as it prepares to relaunch fully electric vehicles in 2026 as part of a wider industry transformation that has created a number of challenges for the carmaker.

Several automakers have announced plans to sell exclusively electric vehicles over the past few years, but many have backed off as adoption of these vehicles has been slower than expected.
“We need to re-establish our brand at a completely different price point, so we need to do something different. We want to move away from traditional car stereotypes,” Jaguar managing director Rawdon Glover told the Financial Times in an interview last month.
Glover also condemned the “evil level of hatred and intolerance” expressed by some in comments about the marketing video, denying it was “woke”.
