Microsoft users experience widespread outage | Real Time Headlines

Major global network outage hits airlines, banks and media organizations, affecting millions

Amid the ongoing widespread technology outage, Microsoft users around the world are experiencing an error screen known as the Blue Screen of Death.

The US tech giant is affected by updates from cybersecurity firms mass strike Which Cause severe IT disruption. Many other businesses are also affected.

“We are aware of an issue with Windows 365 Cloud PCs caused by a recent update to the CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor software,” Microsoft said on its website. 365 StatusX Account.

“We can confirm that CrowdStrike has withdrawn the affected updates. Customers who continue to experience issues should contact CrowdStrike for additional assistance,” the company added.

CrowdStrike CEO said in a statement Statement about X It is “actively working with customers affected by the flaw discovered in a single content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts are not affected.”

CrowdStrike issues cause major outages, impacting businesses around the world

Previously, Microsoft had said that its cloud services had been restored after its Azure services and Microsoft 365 suite of applications were affected in the central United States. A company spokesperson told Dow Jones these are two separate and unrelated issues: one with Azure and the other with CrowdStrike.

In pre-market trading at 7:18 a.m. ET, Microsoft shares were down about 1.3% from their earlier lows.
